to see beauty instead of ugliness and ash
help me to see them in the light of your love
in the light of your grace
and help me to really long to know your children, my brothers and sisters
help me to care for them, the lost and the found and all those in between
teach me to embrace their flaws
and spill this everlasting love onto them
allow all hinderances to fall
help me to love
because you did first

and help me to trust in how mighty you are
becasue if i can even grasp one inkling of how great you are
then i will wait
for your timing
for your purposes to come forth
and not my own deceitful ways

thank you that you take the foolish things of the world to shame the wise
and that i am a part of this
humble my pride
lavish love on my anger
ignite passion in my apathy
and spill joy over my sorrow and self-pity
